Breast Cancer
Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that has developed from cancer cells in the breast. Over time, cancer cells can invade nearby lymph node, located under the arm, around the collar bone, and breast bone. If cancer cells get into the lymph nodes, they may not be able to filter out foreign substances, resulting in a mastectomy. A mastectomy is a surgical procedure to remove one or both breasts, partially or completely.

Post-Surgery
After surgery to remove breast cancer, you may find it hard to cope with the loss of your breast(s) and the change to your appearance. At The Lymphedema Fitter Services we are specialized in fitting of post-surgical solutions to help restore your confidence and appearance.
The size of your full or partial breast prosthesis is based on your bra size, surgery type and where a tissue deficit is present. However, these correlations are merely a standard starting point in getting the correct fit and style. We strongly recommend you make an appointment with our certified mastectomy fitter for a professional bra fitting. Once fitted in a bra, the fitter will provide you with the correct style and size of prosthesis to restore your ideal symmetry.
